Barrio BBQ at Manchamanteles is a chef-driven collaboration celebrating the depth, diversity, and regional expression of Mexican cuisine through a live-fire, walk-around tasting experience on our Bucktown patio.

Led by Chef Geno Bahena, this one-night event brings together an all-star lineup of guest collaborators with Mexican heritage, each presenting a signature dish from their culinary perspective. This year’s lineup features Pizza Lobo, Diego, and Santa Masa Tamalería, alongside Manchamanteles.

Guests will move station to station across the patio, experiencing fire-kissed, seasonal dishes and creative interpretations of Mexican BBQ in a vibrant, social outdoor setting. A live DJ sets the tone for the evening.

Each ticket includes a 4-station tasting journey, offering a curated experience of Chicago’s most exciting Mexican culinary voices in one setting.

Tickets include dishes from each chef station; space is limited and advance purchase is required. Welcome Cocktail Included

Cocktails are crafted in collaboration with Don Julio.

A portion of proceeds will benefit the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant & Refugee Rights.

Taking place during a key Chicago culinary weekend surrounding the James Beard Foundation Awards, Barrio BBQ positions Manchamanteles as a cultural hub for Mexican cuisine, collaboration, and community.
